What happens to my audio?

It is deleted as soon as the transcript is made, usually within a couple of minutes. We keep the transcript and the scores so your report link keeps working, but the audio file itself is gone.

How is the score calculated?

Eight separate judgments — hook strength, quotability, clip potential and five more — are each scored on a described scale, then combined with fixed weights. The weighting is the same for every episode, so two people uploading the same file get the same number, and every point traces back to a named dimension.

Does it listen to the audio or read the words?

It reads the words. We transcribe your episode and judge the content — the hook, the quotable lines, the clip-ready passages, the pacing of the argument. It is not scoring your microphone or your voice.

What do I get for $2?

All eight dimensions with explanations, every clip-ready moment with a timestamp and the exact quote, which platform each clip suits, who the episode is aimed at, and a specific list of changes that would raise the score. It arrives by email and as a permanent link you can share.

Not necessarily. A score measures how likely an episode is to spread, not how good it is. Plenty of excellent, useful episodes score low simply because nothing in them is built to be clipped or quoted — which is a fixable thing, and the report tells you how.

How long can the episode be?

Up to about two hours, in MP3, MP4, M4A or WAV, up to 150MB. Free analyses are limited to three per day.

Why this number means something

Most “AI score” tools ask a chatbot to rate something out of 100 and print whatever comes back. Run the same file twice and you get two different numbers, and nobody — including the tool — can tell you how it got there.

This works the other way round. Each dimension is a separate, narrow judgment against levels written out in advance, and what comes back is a calibrated position on that scale rather than a number pulled from the air. The combining is arithmetic, done in our code, with weights that are the same for everyone.

So the same episode always scores the same, and every point traces back to a named dimension you can go and read.

Quotes work the same way. We never ask a model to write you a quote — the clip finder picks from real spans of your transcript, so every quote in your report is something you actually said.
